- Short bio
Due to the launch of its eleventh issue which sees the development of a different format involving several approaches to photography and media, YET magazine is pleased to launch a call for projects meant to find amazing photography series that will take part in the development of a curatorial project with the collaboration of several curators and experts.
Submissions are open worldwide to photographers, lens-based and media artists with no restrictions in terms of age or genre. Submissions must engage the intersections between digital and traditional photography.
The winners will be part of the upcoming issue of YET magazine and a series of shows and interventions.
YET magazine is a Swiss international photography publication which showcases editorials and photographic series from artists worldwide. We showcase both emerging and well-known international photographers – our work is basically characterized by the quality of the submitted project, from its concept to the shoot, up to the final editing. Since it has been produced and managed by people operating in the photographic sector, YET wants to show “the image” from other perspectives, starting from the photography itself.
The whole working process in YET magazine is based on the firm conviction that a photographer’s work must be shown as it is: for this reason, all the photographic projects are published without any graphic or text insertions, not cut down and free from any form of further editing. Each selection is curated in collaboration with the guest artists. Along with the photographic series, we also publish reviews, in-depth articles and interviews with the key players of the sector, with the aim of giving an updated look on the international contemporary photography scene.
Open worldwide to photographers, lens-based and media artists with no restrictions in terms of age or genre, YET magazine inaugural call for projects grants the winners the production of media based show and the publication of the project.
– Applicants fill in an online form and pay a EUR 10 fee.
– Pre-selection of at least 10 projects. The shortlisted projects are published on the YET magazine website.
– A jury selects the winner.
– The winner will be participating in the media show and the launch of YET magazine #11.
In case the project has already been exhibited, artists can provide installation views.
Submissions must engage the intersections between digital and traditional photography.
